Hello! My name is Lavell Lovett, I am an experienced IT professional with a passion for optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and empowering teams to achieve their full potential.
As an IT Automation DevOps Engineer at Rivian Automotive, I've had the opportunity to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and reliability. From administrating an automation platform used by various teams, to designing underlying development methodologies and access controls, I have played a pivotal role in streamlining daily operations and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Hosting weekly meetings, guiding end-users in the use of automated workflows, and maintaining informative websites utilizing API integrations are just a few ways I have contributed to increasing company visibility and security.
My journey into DevOps and technical training began as a Junior DevOps Engineer at Stifel Financial, where I designed custom dashboards, managed software deployments, and authored technical documents to define standards and best practices. This was followed by a transition from the role of Senior IT Operations Technician, where I facilitated training sessions, onboarded new team members, and ensured firm-wide network stability. My experience extends further back to roles such as being a Network Operations Technician, where I provided network support and performed quality assurance testing. I was even an Assistant Manager/Senior Technician at a Cell Phone Repair, honing my customer service and hardware repair skills.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I have found a hobby in rebuilding almost anything - cars, phones, old computers, you name it. If it can come apart, I am confident that I can fix it. I also love exploring the culinary arts, particularly in crafting delicious dishes like my signature steak pasta. I am an avid learner, constantly seeking out new technologies and adventures to expand my knowledge.
